Welcome.

We don’t all have to be cinephiles (what film buffs nowadays call themselves); most people have real jobs with deadlines and less time on their hands.

I, on the other hand, am a student attempting to adopt a writer’s lifestyle; thus, I have the time and the means to indulge in a pastime that can take you to another world.

Movies.

The beauty of film is that you can equally enjoy movies across genres, formats, runtimes, and generations.

The drawbacks of film is that a lot of movies suck, and when you watch one that sucks, you feel like you’ll never get that 2 hours back.

So hopefully, we can avoid that altogether.

I’ve watched a fair number of movies over the years, particularly in the last decade, and over those years I’ve accumulated thoughts, feelings, and convictions that often didn’t have anywhere to go.

So what better place to put them than right here: for other people to learn from, judge, and hopefully, enjoy.

In short, if you like film and have your own opinions, I invite you to judge mine.

And if you lack an interest in film, maybe I can nudge you in a direction you’ll enjoy; I’ll do my best to cover all the bases.

But I don’t expect you to do the same.
