Artist Defined: Adele
Adele is the definition of…a lot of things.
When you think Adele, you think a powerful voice, emotive piano, constant musical reinvention, etc.
But above all, she’s the pinnacle of quality over quantity.
There are few (if any) who have released as few albums as she has and made the same cultural impact. Trusting her gut, she doesn’t release anything until it is 100% ready to come out, and you can hear it in each album’s quality and individuality.
It’s also easy to misconstrue a lack of releases for laziness; if anything, it’s harder to maintain a stranglehold on the industry when you wait so long to release, but this just proves her dedication to making the right albums without abandoning musical quality for record sales.
Speaking of dedication, Adele has undergone multiple surgeries to fix vocal cord hemorrhages, which only reinforce the fact that she’d be lost without her voice.
But what she probably doesn’t realize is: so would we.

How Much Would I Spend On An Adele Concert?
$150 (CAD)

Who Should She Collab With?
Bruno Mars; while the two co-wrote Adele’s “All I Ask” for her album 25, they haven’t worked together since, and I think the pair’s voices would blend beautifully and bring back an impassioned nostalgia in fans by rediscovering the sound of the early 2010s.

*Note: vocal production can often be equally important, so the instrumental never tells the full story. But if you’re like me and love listening to instrumentals, here!
